Despite the unpopularity of the opinion during the final Season of UMBA, Arch remained one of few people who firmly believed that Monsters deserve better treatment. Arch was appalled by the standards of Monster care in the Arena, and upon finally unveiling their Masked Monster proceeded to use Friendly Fire (or, “Lee”, as they preferred to call it) as a platform to highlight Monster Welfare in the Arena.
Since we now find ourselves celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Old Friends Senior Monster Sanctuary, we want to particularly call back to the landmark speech that Arch gave in the Arena, when Friendly Fire and Giant Block of Wood were forced to fight. Arch, running into the Arena, gave a speech that stirred hearts and minds. Arch's impassioned speech against the slaughter of Monsters in the Arena, and their clear and evident love for their Monsters turned opinions against the rampant deaths of Monsters, and it was that foundation that allowed Arch to construct the Sanctuary we know and love today.
In the last 25 years, the Old Friends Senior Monster Sanctuary has taken in and cared for over 240 Monsters, each one with its own troubles and specific needs. Every Monster gets seen by a team of Monster Care Experts to determine their specific care pattern, and each Monster Care Expert is trained by Arch themselves, meaning every single resident of our Sanctuary is to this day still feeling the direct care and love of Arch that inspired the Sanctuary in the first place.

I will always remember when Arch reunited me with Please Don't Sue Me. Out of nowhere one day, they just showed up at my door, and: there she was. Some people say Arch stole Please Don't Sue Me, but I don't think that's true: Arch did what I didn't want to do several years ago, and Arch cared about Please Don't. They gave her what she needed, and they helped her to flourish despite everything. And the thing that stuck with me? Arch cried. Arch cried as they left Please Don't with me, because they were so worried about her and they had formed such a bond.
That experience stuck with me, and it's that - not Slaymatron, not SPAM, not anything else - that is why I'm taking a stand against Monster Fatalities in the Arena. For Arch, for the person who cared more than anyone thought they should, and the good they did when the world said not to.

To me? Arch was just a kid who'd get stuff done. Never knew anything about all this Monster rights stuff and frankly it didn't matter. You wanted a job done? Arch'd do it. Guess I see why now: starting some sort of Monster Sanctuary's gotta be a drain on resources, and they never looked like they were exactly the wealthiest type. Nah, skies bless 'em, they're a good kid and I'm glad they made it to where they are today.
Just goes to show you should never underestimate the delivery kid, right?
