ULTIMATE MONSTER BATTLE ARENA is the OURPGSoc Society Game for Michaelmas 2018 to Hilary 2019 running fortnightly. The game revolves around the WORLDWIDE PHENOMENON of GIANT MONSTER ARENA BATTLES against a rusting post-apocalyptic backdrop.

Players will all be involved SOME WAY OR ANOTHER with the BATTLE ARENA with such potential characters as:

• MONSTER TRAINERS
• AVID BATTLE ARENA ENTHUSIASTS
• ENTIRELY LEGITIMATE BOOKIES
• MYSTERIOUS NETWORK EXECUTIVES
• Or even FOOLHARDY IDIOTS BRAVE GLADIATORS WHO FIGHT THE MONSTERS THEMSELVES.

Inspiration is being drawn from a vast number of sources, including but certainly not limited to:

• GIANT MONSTER MEDIA such as GODZILLA, KING KONG, MEGA SHARK VS GIANT OCTOPUS, MONSTERS VS ALIENS, PACIFIC RIM, C'THULHU
• POST APOC / DYSTOPIAN MEDIA such as HORIZON ZERO DAWN, MAD MAX, ROMANTICALLY APOCALYPTIC, FALLOUT
• ARENA FIGHTING MEDIA such as GLADIATOR, POKÉMON, FIGHT CLUB, ROBOT WARS, EVEN “REAL” WRESTLING
• AND SO MUCH MORE

There are 8 roleplaying Sessions for ULTIMATE MONSTER BATTLE ARENA running from 7.30pm-10.30pm in . Players are free to arrive from 7.00pm onwards. At the start of the game there is a Character Creation Session in which GMs will be on hand to help create characters for the game, and at the end there will be a Debrief session in which everyone will have a chance to explain what they were up to.
