Chapter Four is dedicated to Todo List, an early shining star of Creative Branch who is believed to have been one of the driving forces behind its collapse.
Looking at his phenomenal work in the construction of the Inertianator arc and the Money Pit, it’s difficult to see how such a beloved fixture of Creative Branch could ever have had a hand in the eventual failure of the Network – indeed, many historians today dispute that he was involved at all.
However, records of conversations between Todo List and former Junior Executives Ada and Ironhide suggest that Todo List may – whether knowingly or not – have been instrumental to the Finance-Maintenance schism that tore the Network apart.
It is the belief of this writer that Todo List orchestrated the entire affair, likely out of spite following the promotion of his colleague Trend to the position of Junior Executive. This is not to say that the last Creative Junior Executive was an innocent victim, however; correspondence between Trend and a third Creative employee by the name of Max Entropy suggests that the two collaborated to undermine Todo List’s own promotional campaign.
This is all, admittedly, speculation. While some consider theories along these lines to be overly sensational, it must be kept in mind that Creative Branch thrived on sensation and drama. In fact, it is likely that the truth behind Todo List’s interactions with Creative Branch were even more complicated than is suggested in this account.
With that said, let us return to the beginning of Todo List’s career and the early work that established him as a prominent figure in the final Season of UMBA.
